Welcome to the first Highland Extravaganza! A special weekend is planned for November 2-4 starting with the Friday viewing of the sale lots. Saturday morning will start with the Highland beef chili and stew cook-off and then will go into the Foundation Female Sale followed by the first ever Highland Feeder Sale.

The Foundation Female Sale features 34 lots and almost 40 head of Highland Cattle. I’ve had the pleasure of working Highland sales for almost 20 years and never before have I seen so much quality in one offering. Look closely at the pedigrees in this sale and you will realize that the genetics are tremendous and each animal offers incredible potential. We have show winners, performance toppers and pedigrees featuring the hottest genetics; including Scottish imports, Impact Sires and Dams, Canadian breeding and many of the top bloodlines in the breed.

A special feature in this sale is the dispersal of the Wadsworth Farm herd. In just a few years and with few animals it has had a great impact on the breed with Roll of Excellence winners, National Western winners, and NEHCA winners. The influence of their 1999 ROE Show Bull of the Year sire, DH MacIntosh 8H is felt through many lots in this sale. MacIntosh is sired by Osceola Rhambeaux and is out of the 1998 National Western Grand Champion Cow Calf. Over the last 7 years MacIntosh has proven himself as a breed leading sire with progeny that have been Grand Champions at NEHCA, Denver, AHCA International, MAHA, NY State Fair and the Virginia Beef Expo. Additionally his progeny have performed on the bull test and in the pasture.

Whatever your goals for your Highland herd, you will be able to find an animal in this sale to help attain them. An updated breeding list will be available sale day. If you are unable to attend the sale, or have trucking needs, feel free to give either Dick LeClar (315) 942-5412 or myself a call. Also if you would like further information on any of the animals please call any of the consignors, Dick or me.
