Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex – Small Arena

• Exhibitors must be member of MAHA
• Exhibitors must be members in good standing with the American Highland Cattle Association or the Canadian Highland Cattle Society
• All animals must be owned by the exhibitor and registered with the American Highland Cattle Association or the Canadian Highland Cattle Society
• Registration papers must be presented to show official or AHCA representatives upon request
• Tattoos must be legible and correspond to registration papers
• Use of hormones or steroids in animals exhibited is prohibited
• Breeding cattle may not be de-horned
• Exhibitors agree to abide by the IAFE (International Association of Fair and Expositions) National Code of Ethics
• Exhibitors are required to post a sign over each animal stating name, registration #, birth date, sire and dam

• All animals must be accompanied by an Official Interstate Health Certificate (official certificate of veterinary inspection) from the state of origin
• Cattle with signs of infections, contagious, or toxicological disease shall be removed from the show, or shall be isolated on the premises.
• Female cattle over 19 months of age and bulls over six months of age shall test negative to an official brucellosis test within 30 days prior to exhibition, or originate direct from a certified brucellosis-free herd. The official results of the brucellosis test (or the herd brucellosis-free status) shall be recorded on the official health certificate by the accredited veterinarian preparing the certificate
• Cattle entering the show shall have a negative tuberculosis test within 30 days of exhibition or originate directly from an accredited tuberculosis-free herd
• Animals that have never been vaccinated against BVD or have not been vaccinated against BVD during the previous 12 months, must receive one dose of modified live virus vaccine given at least 15 days, and not more than 180 days before the show, or two doses of killed vaccine, two to four weeks apart, with the last dose given at least 15 days and not more than 180 days before the show.
• Animals that have been vaccinated against BVD within the previous 12 months, must receive at least a single dose of modified live virus or killed vaccine not less than 15 days and not more than 180 days before the show.
• The date of the live virus vaccination or the dates of the last two killed virus vaccinations must be recorded on the health chart.

• All out of state animals intended for sale should have appropriate testing completed – ask your veterinarian what applies for entry into Pennsylvania.
