The Mid-Atlantic Highland Association (MAHA) was founded in 1989 as one of the regional associations affiliated with the American Highland Cattle Association (AHCA). The primary goal of the founders of MAHA was to promote the marketing of Highland cattle. From the beginning MAHA has been an active regional association.
