MAHA as the name implies has members from the Mid Atlantic states. Additionally there are members from other parts of the US and from Canada. If you would like to see if there are Highland breeders in your area check out the LIST .

Members meet at least twice a year. Our Spring meeting includes our annual Highland show.
 

The 2008 Spring Classic will be held in conjunction with the Central Bull Test and Sale May 9-11 (Click to View Sale Catalog) and the North East Highland Cattle Association's (NEHCA) Annual Meeting. In 2008 MAHA will act as the host for the AHCA National Convention. The convention will be held in June in Virginia. The program is still in the planning stages. To volunteer or get more information contact Jacquelyn Becker Chotkowski chotbeck@stny.rr.com

The MAHA winter meeting has been rescheduled for Saturday 3/8. The same program will take place at the PSU Meat Lab on Porter Road in State College, PA. For complete details please contact Marti Roberts: martizuma@aol.com

The 2007 Spring Show was held May 11-12 in Mercer PA.

MAHA's 2007 began with a general membership meeting. The meeting was held Satruday February 24th at the PA Livestock Evaluation Center.

MAHA's 2006 fall show was held in conjunction with the Keystone International Livestock Expostition (K.I.L.E.) on Oct. 5 -8, 2006.

The shows and Highland sale was held on Saturday Oct. 7th. The junior show was held at 8AM.

The spring 2006 show will was a double. The weekend of May 5th and 6th saw MAHA hosting the Spring Classic Double Shot Show. The shows were held at the 4H Park - Red Show Arena in Mercer, PA (north of Mercer on Rte 19). Each show had a different judge.

2006 started off with a winter education and general membership meeting. The meeting was held Feb 25th at the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Livestock Evaluation Center.

2005 will be a busy year for MAHA members.
 
On March 12 we hosted a Winter Education Meeting at the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Livestock Evaluation Center.
 
Then in May our Spring Classic show was held. The show was May 6&7 at the 4H Park - Red Show Arena in Mercer, PA.
 
Then our fall show in conjunction with the Keystone International Livestock Exposition occurs on Saturday October 8th. The Junior Showmanship and Open Show will start at 8AM. At 5pm there will be a Highland Sale. To receive a premium book Contact KILE at (717) 787-2905 or kile@state.pa.us.

September 30 - October 2, 2004 found MAHA hosting the Highland show at the KILE (Keystone International Livestock Exposition).

The 2004 Spring Classic was held April 30 - May 1 at the Mercer County 4-H Park in Mercer, PA. For more information click here.
 
The winter meeting was held on Feb. 28, 2004. The meeting was  held at the Ayrshire Farm in Upperville, VA. In addition to a number of speakers there was a tour of the historic farm which specializes in raising rare and endangered livestock breeds as well as heirloom fruits and vegetables.
 
In the Fall of 2003 MAHA sponsored a show in conjunction with the Keystone International Livestock Exposition in Harrisburg, PA. The show was October 2-6, 2003.

Our 2002 Fall meeting was held in October at Vantage Point Farm in PA.

Sunday October 7, 2001. We will have a business meeting at the Farm Complex during the Keystone International Livestock Exposition. The meeting will be held in Room B at 10AM on Sunday morning at the Farm Complex. The Board of Directors will meet at 10AM on Saturday October 6th
 
 
On May 5, 2001 in Harrisburg, PA. we held our show in conjunction with the AHCA National Meeting. For show results.

The 2000 Fall meeting was held at Who's Hill Farm in Sunbury, PA. Our 2000 show was the weekend of May 5-6. The show was held at the York County 4H Club in York, PA. (Click here for more details on the 2000 show.)

Our fall 1999 meeting was hosted by Pilgrims Promise farm in Newport, PA. Following a business meeting Dr. Comerford of Penn State talked to the group about cattle nutrition. Martha Zumas& Bill Roberts provided a tour of Pilgrim's Promise farm. With almost 200 Highlands they are expanding their beef marketing from local outlets to the Internet.
